Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered in several ways:

  • Online – via the NHS App / NHS Login. This will require an NHS account which can be easily set up here : About NHS login – NHS (www.nhs.uk)
  • Post – requests may be made by post, using your repeat re-order slip. Please tick which items are required on your re-order slip before posting to us.
  • In person -Please use the letterbox at the front of the surgery. 

Repeat prescription requests are not accepted over the telephone as this can lead to errors.

Please give 3 workings days for repeat prescriptions to be prepared.

Sudbury patients- We are able to dispense prescriptions to rural patients who live more than 1 mile from the nearest pharmacy. This service is provided by our in-house dispensary at Sudbury. For more information on the services provided by our Sudbury Dispensary please click here.

Tutbury patients- Patients who attend our Tutbury Surgery usually collect their prescriptions from their nominated pharmacy. Your nominated pharmacy can be set using your NHS App/ NHS login.

Urgent Medication Requests when the Surgery is Closed

Please Note: Should you run out of medication when the surgery is closed, you will need to contact the Out of Hours Doctor service on 111. 

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please book your medications review appointment at least 14 days before your medication runs out.
